Preet: Make sure you check out the slabs! Shiva Kashi varies a lot from batch to batch and can often look orange/salmon colored.

I have cherry wood cabintery in my kitchen. The floor is Lyptus Earth. I am planning to use Shivakashi pink for the countertops. Would this be a good choice? Is there a website where I could see the above written combination? What would you recommend? Thanks!

Robert: Golden riviera would be my choice. It's perfectly good that it is a lighter stone. It makes for even more contrast between the tops and the cabinets, which is a good thing.

OK,I went to your yard, what do you think of GoldenRiviera 189 compared to ShivakashiPink with Cherry wood/Cabernet stain cabinets? I have GoldenOak floors in the next room and the GoldenRiviera seems to have both the burgundy spots and some golden color but could the background be too light with these cabinets? Is there such a thing as too light?

Robert: Both 404 and 405 are Shivakashi Pink coming out of the same quarry. The difference is excavation time. Every time quarry gets deeper into the mountain pattern and color may change slightly. In this case the newer lot no. 405 is ligher and pattern is more delicate. It's basically a variation of the same rock.

Thanks, and what is the difference between your stone id 404 and 405 Shivakashi Pink? I will look at Giallo Ornamental too as you recommended.

I'm remodeling my kitchen with Cherry wood cabinets with a cabernet stain. Now looking for granite counter top and island. I saw a Cherry/Burgundy cabinent with Shivakashi sample kitchen at another supplier and loved it. What other stones would you recommend? Also, what is the difference between your stone id 404 and 405 Shivakashi Pink?
