Marilyn: Oil rubbed bronze will do fine for the faucets and will match nicely to the stone. For the walls, keep it simple – choose one of the lighter colors that you are already using.

I have chosen Giallo Vincenza. I have Natural Maple cabinets and Natural Oak flooring. I have stainless appliances and sink - what type of wall treatment above the counter top would look good. also any suggestions for a faucet other than stainless?

Donna: That would be a well-fitting stone.

Would Giallo Vicenza look good with maple cabinets (natural with a slight honey glaze)? The kitchen and dining room are together as one big room and my dining room table is chocolate brown as well as the accents.

Lynn: Yes, black (or dark in general) tends to "shrink" the space. I would go with something a bit darker though.

Would this color look good with white cabinets, stainless appliances and honey oak floor? I had been leaning toward black granite but I would like a little more warmth and have heard black will make the kitchen appear smaller.
