Betsy: Have you tried Durango?

We have giallo ornamental counters and med. dark cherry cabinets. Can't decide what type of back splash - tumbled jerusalem gold looks too washed out.

Melissa: It's an OK match. I think you have the "room" to go a bit darker to create more contrast.

We have oak cabinets, slightly darker hardwood floors, neutral sandish tan walls w/oil rubbed bronze knobs (probably the same for faucet) and lots of natural light. Would this be a good match?

Chevene: Probably yes. Need a little bit more information.

Is \"Ornamental Gold\" from Stonemark the same as Giallo Ornamentale? Can anyone confirm this?

I am having Decora Brandywine cherry cabinets w/ss appliances installed. My walls are light beige and the floors are medium pine. Looking for granite that won't be too dark but still has warm tone. Would Giallo Ornamental, Kashmir Gold,New Venetian Gold or Midura Gold look better?

Ellen: Looks like you don't really need much advice :) What color are the cabinets and floors?

Linda: Good match.

Erika: Looks like a good match. It is warm in tone and wouldn't be too distracting in your setup.

We have purchased giallo ornamental light for our kitchen counters.Looking for a good match for tile backsplash. Am considering antiquarex tumbled marble chiaro 4x4 tiles with accent tiles of bas relief chiaro grapes and melegrano. any other suggestions for a good match with the ornamental light- color suggestions perhaps? Thanks, Ellen

powder room floor Black Galexy, cabinet cherry acorn. I am considering giallo orni. What do you think? The counter top is about 6 ft.

We are considering either giallo ornamental or laborador angola black/gold for our kitchen. We will have white cabinets to the ceiling, some bead board, creamy (with a bit of yellow) walls, hard wood floors - we are looking for a warmer feel to the kitchen. The looks are so different - any thoughts?

I am having warm cherry cabinets installed. Thinking of giallo orn. for perimeter and black galaxy for the island. Stainless appliances and medium colored oak hardwoods. Will these granite choices work?

Abhi: This is ok. It's rather on the toned down side. Something darker perhaps?

We have white cabinets, yellow walls, stainless steel appliances. Will this look good? We don't want a black granite. Any other color that you would suggest.

Summer: It will work as long as the cabinets are not too bright.

We have cherry cabinets in a truffle finish (medium brown, not reddish)with a walnut glaze for the perimeter. A cream colored island with a walnut glaze for the island and maple floor. We are looking at giallo ornamental, Santa Cecilia, or NVG. Would any of those work for us. Thanks

Home Depot tells me that there "Ornamental Gold" from Stonemark is the same as Giallo Ornamentale. Can anyone confirm this?

Sara: This will work. It will blend a bit with the maple, but really stand out from the island, which will accent it even more.

My kitchen will have 2 colors, perimeter cabinets will be a chestnut maple and the island a chocolate cherry I have medium oak floor. I want a lighter countertop, but I need advice of what would look best.

Lynne: A medium to dark wood flooring would do great. If not, a neutral tile (off white, ivory, etc..)

Tracy: I think it will look good. The contrast is plenty.

What do you think about Giallo Ornamental with a dark mocha vanity and almost white tile?

Marmi di Carrara srl - Moderator

Date: 2007-11-21 09:41:46

Steve: It would definitely look good with the cabinets. You choose the slabs used for the countertops in person, so there really is nothing to worry about.

Date: 2007-11-19 16:20:00

Hi There, is this granite consistent between all batches? Will the slab I get be like the colors of the one pictured? More importantly, would this look nice with black maple cabinetry?

Sarah: Please describe the color of the cabinets.

I am getting dark peppercorn cabinets and love the look of dark counters with a lighter backsplash and floor. Could you suggest a granite that would compliment the cabinets

Name: Tiffany

Date: 2007-11-11 08:37:40

I am having a problem with the tile. do you know the exact name of that tile? Thanks!

Lisa: It's hard to tell without seeing your cabinets. Email us the photo of them if you can. Venetian Gold is slightly different in tone, just a bit warmer.

Name: Lisa

Date: 2007-10-16 15:40:20

The sample piece I have seems to have more of a cream background, so it looks like there is some contrast. You don't think that would be true on a whole slab? And one more question, is New Venetian Gold the same thing?

Marmi di Carrara srl - Moderator

Date: 2007-10-15 10:50:04

Lisa: I think this might get too close to the cabinets, both color and tone.

Date: 2007-10-12 17:36:08

Would this stone look good with Maple cabinets with a ginger glaze? Or would it blend too much?

Marmi di Carrara srl - Moderator

Date: 2007-10-09 09:35:52

CINDY: I would probably keep them in light earthy tones... Not really sure what color scheme you want to use. A natural travertine tile for the floor will look good.

Date: 2007-10-07 01:07:36

I have put this granite in my bathroom. Any suggestions for color on tile floor and walls??

Kean : If you have a sample, bring it into the yard and match. It's nearly impossible to do this from pictures or memory.

Cindy: Most of the lighter colors will have the brown/ruby colors speckles. It's a look that some love and some hate. Purely personal prefference.

Name: Cindy

Date: 2007-08-17 10:05:41

I saw a slab and there were lots of brown speckles. This is what I thought would really stand out. Am I wrong? I don't want to make a mistake with the colors.

Marmi di Carrara srl - Moderator

Date: 2007-08-17 09:51:07

Cindy: It will be light and there won't be a lot of contrast, but if you like it more toned down, why not?

I was looking to do my master bathroom in nuetral colors and was wondering about Giallo Ornamental for the bathroom countertop with white cabinets. Is this a good choice??
